News Maker Stacy McFarland on the Am. Red Cross Ian recovery

Hurricane Ian has taken its toll on the American Red Cross.

We spoke with Stacy McFarland the Executive Director of the American Red Cross of the Greater Shenandoah Valley about that in our latest news maker.

News makers are brought to you by Warren County Together We are Community.

Stacy says one of the most important things we can do is donate blood.

A major blood drive takes place Mon. Oct. 24 to honor the former Mayor of Winchester Charles Zuckerman and First Lady Virginia.

Both were major supporters of the Red Cross, Charles donated almost 40 gallons of blood in his lifetime.

Stacy tells us a number of appointments are still open for that drive.

You can fill an appointment for that drive or another blood drive here.

Stacy also tells us of other important ways to help the Red Cross.
