VH creates and fills it’s first ever system wide Chief Nursing Executive position
According to a press release from Valley Health (VH) they have added and filled the brand new position of system wide Chief Nursing Executive.
Theresa L. Trivette has taken the position and will lead all nursing functions across the organization.
Trivette most recently served as chief nursing officer at Ballad Health in Kingsport Tennessee.
She brings more than 20 years of nursing leadership with a proven record of improving quality of care in both large and small health care organizations.
Trivette has earned a number of degrees including Doctor of Nursing Practice from the Medical University of South Carolina.
A master’s degree in nursing administration from Gardner-Webb University as well as a bachelor’s in health care management degree from the University of Maryland.
Trivette also holds an associate’s in nursing degree from the College of Southern Maryland.
She is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and holds the Certified in Executive Nursing Practice credential from the American Organization of Nurse Leaders.
At the same time Trivette also serves as senior examiner on the board of examiners for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award.
She also holds collaborative faculty and advisory positions on several university and college nursing program councils in Florida and Tennessee.
According to the press release Trivette’s immediate goal is to do everything possible to support the tireless efforts of VH care teams during the pandemic while creating a vision for the future as they continue to focus on clinical excellence.
