SABF announce Sports Breakfast special guest speaker

An email from Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival (SABF) representative Brenna Taylor announced the Sports Breakfast Special Guest Speaker 2022.

Dallas Cowboy’s Hall of Fame member Tony Dorsett will make his third appearance at the SABF.

Dorsett happens to be the father of the reigning Queen Shenandoah 95 Mia Dorsett and will also serve as the guest speaker for SABF’s Sports Breakfast.

Dorsett was the first Sports Breakfast guest back in 1985 and later crowned his daughter Jazmyn as Queen Shenandoah in 2012.

SABF tickets for some events have gone on sale

An email from the Executive Director of the Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival (SABF) Bradley Veach announced tickets for some events have gone on sale.

The email went on to say that several new events will be added and announced in the coming weeks.

One of the new events already announced is the Breakfast with Miss. Apple Blossom Savanna Marcum for Apr. 23.

Registration for the Apple Blossom Golf Classic is also open now.

Tickets for Wine Fest, Cider tasting, Pumps and Pearls and Lady’s Commonwealth Luncheon, Rock and Roll, 90’s and 80’s dance Parties, Stag Lunch and Square Dance have all gone on sale.

The festival this year will be a full scale traditional Apple Blossom Festival celebration of spring from Apr.22 through May 1.

News Maker Tony Elar on a French and Indian War Foundation fundraiser

The French and Indian war foundation will attempt to refurbish Fort Loudoun in Winchester.

The foundation will need to raise funds to accomplish this major project.

We spoke to the foundation’s Marketing and Managing Director Tony Elar in our latest news maker.

Tony told us of a birthday celebration for George Washington on Feb. 22.

TVRC Valor Awards tickets are now available

Top of Virginia Regional Chamber’s (TVRC) Valor Awards Dinner tickets are now available.

The Dinner honors those who have gone above and beyond the call of duty in Winchester, Frederick and Clarke Counties.

The dinner and ceremony is Sep. 2 from 4 to 9 p.m. at Frederick County Fairgrounds.
