A high speed chase hitting speeds of up to 90 mph started in West Virginia and ended in Frederick County.
Timothy Barth was witnessed by an off duty police officer almost colliding with a school bus.
The officer followed Barth down Rt. 340 into Clarke County where Clarke County authorities took pursuit.
Barth fled onto Rt. 7 into Frederick County reaching speeds of up to 90 miles per hour.
Police had to use spike strips twice to slow the vehicle.
It was reported that Barth smelled of alcohol with slurred speech.
Barth who has a Pennsylvania address admitted that he had been drinking at Hollywood Casino.
Barth has been charged with eluding police along with his fourth subsequent offense of driving under the influence within ten years along with driving with a revoked license and refusing a field test.
The offender is being held without bond for a Dec. 14 court date and reportedly told authorities he didn’t want to stop because he wanted to get home.
