Caps Lose In OT, Hornet Hoop Tonight, Area HS Results

In area boy’s basketball last night, Warren County nipped Woodstock Central 44-42, while Handley stopped Liberty 58-43. In girl’s action, Warren county defeated Woodstock Central 57-50, and Page routed Rappahannock 70-37.

Sidney Crosby’s overtime goal was the difference in a 5-4 Pittsburgh Penguins’ win over the Washington Capitals last night. The Caps took a 3-1 lead thanks to 2 Tom Wilson goals, but saw the Pens rally, and then win in the extra period. The 2-0-2 Capitals play their home-opener Friday night against Buffalo, with a 6:45 air time on The River 95-3.
