TVRC Greater Good Awards

Top of Virginia Regional Chamber (TVRC) announced the winners of their Greater Good Awards.

The Greater Good Awards celebrate outstanding individuals and businesses for their  contributions to the quality of life and economic stability to the Northern Shenandoah Valley region.

TVRC Greater Good award winners include:

Entrepreneur of the Year Katrina Kimbro Smith.

Small Business of the Year Award went to Shaffer’s BBQ and Market.

Large Business of the Year Award went to Valley Proteins Inc.

David Kent of Signet Marketing won Emerging Leader of the Year Award.

Nonprofit of the Year Award went to Winchester Rescue Mission.

Frederick County Sheriff Lenny Millholland won Citizen of the Year Award.

With the Lifetime Community Impact Award going to Breakfast with Berry Lee.

Award winners are chosen by an impartial committee of past chamber members and board chairpersons.

You can nominate an organization or person for a Greater Good Award for next year’s  ceremony at regionalchamber.biz.

TVRC host an after legislative luncheon

An email from Top of Virginia Regional Chamber (TVRC) announced a post legislative luncheon.

The event will look at recently passed legislation that will make it easier to do business in Virginia.

A discussion on the upcoming special session of the General Assembly and the issues that lawmakers face.

A discussion will also take place on the legislation that was not passed in the past session.

The luncheon will be held at the George Washington A Wyndham Grand Hotel in Winchester Apr. 7 from noon to 2 p.m..

TVRC holds an after hours event tonight 11/17

Top of Virginia Regional Chamber (TVRC) in an email announced their after hours event for tonight Nov. 17.

Every month, the TVRC holds an after-hours networking event designed for members to meet and build relationships.

The event is for business people from small, mid-size and large companies and organizations representing a variety of industries to network.

It is an informal gathering hosted by Regional Chamber Members with complementary food and beverages.

The event tonight Nov. 17 is 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Winchester Country Club you can register here.

TVRC relaunches Young Professionals Group

The top of Virginia Regional Chamber has relaunched the Young Professionals Group.

The group will meet this Thurs. Sept. 16 at 5:30 p.m. at the Museum of the Shenandoah Valley’s Glen Burnie Gardens.

Young professionals in their 20’s and 30’s are invited to meet for an evening of networking, light refreshments and touring the gardens.

TVRC kicks off the Core of Community weekend tonight 9/2

The top of Virginia Regional Chamber (TVRC) will kick off the 3 day Labor Day weekend Core of Community event tonight Sept. 2.

The Valor Awards starts at 4 p.m. and honors Public Servants and Citizens that have gone above and beyond the call of duty at the Frederick County Fairgrounds in Clearbrook.
