BCSD apprehend an attempted murder suspect with U.S. Marshals

Justin Broadus of Hagerstown Maryland was apprehended on May 31on charges out of Berkeley County.

Broadus was wanted on charges of attempted murder, conspiracy to attempt murder, and wanton endangerment with a firearm according the release from Berkeley County Sheriff’s Department (BCSD).

The charges stem from a shooting incident at the Aura Club in West Virginia in December 2021.

The warrant for the 36-year-old Broadus was issued on May, 17, 2024.

Berkeley County Prosecutors requested apprehension assistance from the U.S. Marshals Mountain State Fugitive Task Force on May, 20, 2024.

The task force had previously arrested Broadus on behalf of the BCSD on unrelated drug charges.

Investigators were familiar with Broadus and were able to locate him.

Broadus was taken into custody in the 300 block of Central Avenue Hagerstown without incident.
