Wayside Inn will reopen under new management in the new year

Signs and several social network post indicate that the historic Wayside Inn in Middletown Virginia is closed this week due to COVID concerns.

The Inn is expected to reopen next week under new management who is quarantined after contracting COVID-19.

An email from News break is reporting that the owners of the Inn have decided to terminate Richard Orndorff’s lease due to the lack of profit and the inability to obtain a license for alcohol.

The owners plan to take a more direct and active role in operating the facility in 2022.

The news story indicates that the owners hope to put more emphases on events at the Inn.

Looking to host weddings, parties and holding musical events in the new year.

Minor changes in the immediate future include some changes to the menu and hours of operation.
