Used by permission Frederick County Virginia Government

Governor Glenn Youngkin has announced a major investment in Frederick County, Virginia, by Desi Fresh Foods, a prominent U.S. producer of South Asian yogurt, and lassi, a drinkable yogurt from the same region.

Desi Fresh Foods will establish a new manufacturing facility in the area, bringing with it a
substantial investment and the creation of 56 new jobs.

This expansion will not only boost the company’s production capabilities but also involve sourcing a significant portion of its dairy ingredients from local Virginia farmers.

Virginia secured this project after a competitive process, edging out bids from Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.
