College’s Still Accept Student’s Veteran Benefits With New Law

Governor Glen Younkin announced that every college in Virginia will continue to ensure that student’s veteran benefits are protected with laws that have been passed on July 1st to reverse tuition waiver eligibility to students.

Programs such as the Dependents Education Program and the Virginia Military Survivors program will be affected during this law change.

The House and Senate will meet July 18th to repeal these laws, as well as providing $65 million dollars towards the programs that help veteran students with their tuition.
