The second annual First Night Middletown will start at 6 p.m. at the Church Street Town Office.

The Middletown event will include a silent auction that will support the renovations at the B&O Railroad station for Winchester Model Railroad Club.

A Patsy Cline tribute will take place with Tracy Wygal who will be joined later in the night by Brian Withrow.

Luray will host a new year celebration starting at 8 p.m., Sunday night at the Rufner Plaza including music, kids’ activities, food, and hot chocolate.

Please be safe and enjoy the new year celebrations.

If you are bringing in 2024 with alcohol, drink responsibly as law enforcement will be on the watch to keep the region safe for all.

All 42 Virginia State Parks are hosting First Day Hikes all day on the first day of 2024.

A fun run will be held at the Museum of the Shenandoah Valley with check in at 8 a.m. on January 1.
