Governor Youngkin recognizes Virginia’s veteran employers

Governor Glenn Youngkin recognized Virginia Values Veterans Certified Employers for their efforts in recruiting, hiring, and retaining veterans and military spouses in the Commonwealth at an awards luncheon October 11.

The V3 program has over 3,000 certified employers and since its inception 10 years ago, it has resulted in the hiring of more than 127,000 Virginia Veterans.

Virginia Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Barry DuVal said at the event, “With 30 military installations and one of the largest veteran populations in the country, Virginia remains deeply committed to empowering the men and women who answer the call to serve and protect our nation by providing a high quality of life not only while they serve, but as they transition to civilian life.”
