An email from Winchester Public Schools (WPS) Public Information Officer Maggie McCampbell Liens announced free athletic programs for city youth.

Through an agreement between the City of Winchester Parks and Recreation Department (WPRD) and Shenandoah University (SU) fees will be waived for city youth.

The $50 to $61 fee charged for basketball, volleyball, flag football and cheer will be waived for the 2021-22 season.

WPRD also has plans to add swim classes to the program this summer as well.
