Volunteer firefighter is charged with reckless driving

An email from Virginia State Police (VSP) Sergeant Brent Coffey confirms that Warren County volunteer firefighter Conor Wright is being charged with reckless driving.

The 25 year old Wright of Front Royal was the driver of a Front Royal Volunteer Fire Department fire truck returning from a call when he collided with another vehicle on Strasburg Road.

Wright and two other firefighters were uninjured in the accident.

The driver of the struck vehicle suffered serious but non life threatening injuries and was flown to INOVA Hospital.

Wright is facing a year in jail and a $2,500 fine with a court date of Dec. 7.
