Shenandoah Public Schools (SCPS) announced new masks regulations in a social post.

After the school board called a special meeting yesterday morning they have voted on new mask regulations that fall more in line with Governor Youngkin’s latest mask mandate.

Effective this Mon. Jan. 24 students will not be required to wear a mask but are being encouraged to wear a mask while inside any Shenandoah County Public School building.

However a mask will be required to be worn by everyone riding any school transportation.

All school staff will also be required to continue to wear a mask while in any school building regardless of their vaccination status.
