Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) reports by email that 4 people have been charged with assault and assault by mob.

Derek Wayne Austin, Alexia Rosmary Lehiman both of Front Royal have been charged.

Winchester residents Abbie Elizabeth Rogers and Connor Garrick Hughes have been charged as well.

The charges stem from a March incident that occurred at 397 Player Road in Bayse Virginia.

On arrival around 3 a.m. March 24 a Shenandoah County Deputy found that the residence is an Airbnb that had been rented by Hughes for a party.

During the party a physical altercation broke out between several guys.

A female and her girlfriend who were not charged reported being approached inappropriately by a male.

Several guys approached the male and started to assault him and force him to leave.

Hughes and a 17-year-old male who were throwing the party then asked the girls who were approached inappropriately and their girlfriend to leave.

While leaving Lehiman and Rogers came from another part of the house and began to assault the girls that were asked to leave.

Another female attempted to intervene when Hughes, the 17-year-old and another male began to assault the girls.

When all was said and done 12 warrants for 3 counts each of assault and assault by mob were obtained and served by the deputy.

Hughes, Rogers, Austin, and Lehiman have a court date of June 14 in Shenandoah County General District Court.
