In this edition of the SDPC, I pull my Wake-Up Crew partner Scott Bradley out of the bullpen and veer away from sports a bit by talking about County Fairs. Our “sports” tie-in is pro wrestling, which has been a big part of the fairs for me over the years. Enjoy the stories, and we hope to see you at a county fair near you in the coming weeks!

Warren Coalition’s “We See You, Warren County” campaign announced their August theme of “Pay It Forward.”
After encouraging residents to reach out to each other with different greetings, now they are challenging the community to take action and engage in acts of kindness throughout the month.
With personal finances in mind, the Warren Coalition wanted to remind people of some free to low cost ways to participate such as mowing your neighbor’s grass, volunteer at a local nonprofit, pick up trash along the road, or hand out ice pops at a local event like the fair or the upcoming National Night Out to remind others “It’s cool to connect.”
If you participate this month, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or post on their WeCUWC Facebook group.
