Warren County appoints new Finance Director
Warren County announced in a press release the appointment of Alisa Scott as the new Finance Director.
She was originally hired as the Deputy Finance Director on November 15, 2022 before interviewing and receiving the offer for Director.
She began her career in the private sector before beginning as an Administrative Assistant for Frederick County Government and then managed purchasing for the Town of Front Royal from 2018 to 2021.
Mrs. Scott will assume the role immediately and work with the outgoing Finance Director, Matt Robertson.
County Administrator Dr. Ed Daley spoke on her appointment praising the “significant strides in the County’s financial reporting and transparency” since she joined Robertson’s team.
Front Royal Warren County EDA has an interim director appointed
At the latest Front Royal Warren County Economic Development Authority (EDA) board meeting the authority had an interim Executive Director appointed by the Warren county Administrator.
Taryn Logan will serve until the county hires an executive director as current EDA Director Douglas Parsons prepares to leave for a new position in Fauquier County Oct. 1.
Also at the meeting it was announced that as of Oct. 1 all payments to the EDA will be handled by the Warren County Finance Department.
Checks still need to be made out to the EDA but delivered to the Finance Department at 220 N. Commerce Ave. Front Royal.
Checks that are mailed to the EDA from Oct. 1 on may be subject to penalties and late fees.

Warren County takes over payments from EDA
Warren County’s finance department is taking over the management of payments to the EDA for rents, receivables, and the Small Business Loan Program starting October 1st.
After that date, all payments can be hand delivered or mailed to the Warren County Government’s finance department.
Official notices will be sent to loan clients soon with their account balance and payment history.
The remaining balance will be communicated to the county. All questions for the EDA regarding payments must be made before October 1st.
