Two Warren County Firefighters are injured in Acton St. fire

Warren County Fire and Rescue reports that two Firefighters were injured while battling the Acton Street fire in Front Royal June 12.

The pair were both transported to the hospital for heat related illness treated and released.

No other injuries were reported in the fire.

Warren County Fire and Rescue answered the call of a dwelling on fire in the 400 block of Acton Street just past noon.

On arrival firefighters found a 2-story single family dwelling with flames visible.

Firefighters began their interior fire suppression while confirming no one was inside.

A second alarm was sounded, and 2 more engines were added to the fire fight.

The two occupants of the house were not home at the time of the fire, but they are being assisted by the American Red Cross as the home was severely damaged.

Firefighters remained on the scene for approximately two hours with the cause of the fire yet to be determined.
