VSP charge a Warren County man with involuntary manslaughter

Virginia State Police (VSP) confirm by email that they have charged 24-year-old Warren County resident Evan A. Goldsborough with involuntary manslaughter and driving under the influence.

The charges stem from a crash that occurred on New Year’s Eve in Warren County.

Shortly after 2 a.m. on December 31 Goldsborough was driving his 2021 Dodge Charger at a high rate of speed on Browntown Road.

Once he reached Park Ridge Court Goldsborough lost control of the vehicle, ran off the right side of the road struck a rock and several trees.

As a result of the crash Goldsborough’s passenger 28-year-old Brian A. Jenkins was killed.

Goldsborough suffered serious injury and was taken to the hospital for treatment and is now being held without bond in the Rappahannock-Shenandoah-Warren Reginal Jail.
