Nats Back In Action, Rays Sting O’s, WFT Nickname Down To 3

The Washington Nationals return to action tonight as they begin a quick 2-game set against the Toronto Blue Jays. The Nats, who are now at the bottom of the NL East at 50-68, will try to end their 7-game losing skid. Air time is 6:35 from Nationals Park on Sports Radio 1450.

Meanwhile, the Baltimore Orioles were hammered by the Tampa Bay Rays 9-2. The Rays collected most of their runs in the middle innings, as they pounded out 12 hits. Jorge Mateo had 2 hits for the Birds, who take on Tampa again tonight at 7:10 in the Sunshine State.

According to NBC Sports Washington and The Washington Post, The Washington Football team has narrowed it’s list of new team nicknames down to 3. The confirmation comes after team president Jason Wright can be heard telling general manager Martin Mayhew and head coach Ron Rivera the 3 potential team names in the latest episode of “Making The Brand”which was released yesterday on the team’s website and YouTube channel.
