The new Warren Memorial Hospital welcomed its first new transfer from the old hospital yesterday Jun. 23 at 6 a.m..

By coincidence or perhaps by design, William C. Trenary III’s father was instrumental in raising funds for the original hospital on Shenandoah Ave. over 70 years ago.

Trenary marveled at the size of and view from his new room.

The new facility at 351 Valley Health Way Front Royal is now fully operational for in and outpatient services.

Surgical services will be ready early next week.

Physicians’ practices are expected to relocate in the coming weeks.
