WPD arrest a combative Frederick County woman

Winchester Police Department (WPD) reports by email the arrest of a combative Frederick County woman on May 4.

Winchester Police Officers responded to a fight outside the Monument event center on Loudoun Street early May 4.

On arrival officers found an active fight escalating in a line of people waiting to enter the establishment.

While attempting to break up the altercation a Frederick County female began to beat on an officer and became increasingly combative.

Gloria Sobalvarro was subdued and arrested and is facing several charges.

Those charges include a felony of assault and battery on a police officer, public intoxication, obstruction, and disorderly conduct.

Sobalvarro is also charged with impeding the arrest of an individual and punching an officer in the face while resisting arrest.

Sobalvarro was released on a $3,000 secured bond later May 4.
