The Winchester Walk to End Alzheimers

Our conversation today with Cindy Schelhorn, Senior Director, Communications and Marketing, Alzheimer’s Association National Capital Area Chapter and Whitney Pyles, Financial Advisor with Edward Jones and Walk Committee Member centered around the Walk to End Alzheimers that happens on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 9:30am at the Museum of the Shenandoah Valley (or in your own neighborhood!)

The pair gave us all the details for the walk including how to sign up, how to donate, and the various other ways you can participate. They explained the history of the event, COVID’s impact and the safety protocols in place for this year’s walk.

Cindy told us how the money raised from this event helps families dealing with the disease to cope through support groups, research, and access to their nationwide 24/7 Helpline 800-272-3900 that provides confidential support and information in over 200 languages.
