National Wreaths Across America Day in Winchester
Today is National Wreaths Across America Day at the Winchester National Cemetery.
Wreaths Across America began as a simple gesture of thanks and has grown to a movement dedicated to honoring fallen soldiers for their service and educating future generations of their sacrifices.
Winchester National Cemetery is one of 3,100 participating locations and is expecting over 300 community volunteers to lay over 1,550 wreaths.
Those interested in participating in this free event led by the Civil Air Patrol’s Winchester Composite Squadron are invited to the cemetery at 11 am with a ceremony scheduled for noon.
