Task force makes two arrests in drug bust

newslocalA joint operation of the Northwest Regional Drug Task Force, Front Royal Police and the Warren County Sheriff’s Office has resulted in the Thursday, June 30, 2016 arrest of two people on narcotics charges.

Following a short foot pursuit on the 100 block of South Royal Avenue in Front Royal, Robert Douglas Crosby, 33, of Front Royal; and Kimlia Porter, 37, of Strasburg, were arrested.

Crosby was charged with two counts of Distribution of Schedule I or II narcotics; Porter was charged with possession of the same.

A subsequent search of Crosby’s residence in the 100 block of South Royal Avenue yielded approximately 10 grams of heroin; 36 grams of crack cocaine; 109 grams of marijuana; as well as $3,328 in cash.

Police said the seized drugs appeared packaged for resale. They estimated the local street value of the seized drugs at $9,600.
