Third session of Faith Based Web Series set for Aug. 4
The third installment of the Northwestern Prevention Collaborative’s Faith Based Web Series is scheduled for next Tuesday, Aug. 4.
The series focuses on the intersection of stress and anxiety, COVID-19 and substance misuse in the community.
The third session will further focus on trauma and substance misuse. The event, which will be held via Zoom from 10 to 11:30 a.m., will feature guest speaker Robin Blumenthal from the 4Tucson Project in Arizona. Registration can be completed here.
Recordings of the previous sessions, held in June and July, can be viewed on the organization’s YouTube channel.
The Northwestern Prevention Collaborative is a partnership among four substance abuse coalitions in the area with a focus on the heroin/opioid epidemic. The collaborative combines prevention and treatment, with the dual goals of preventing young people from abusing prescription drugs and reducing the number of heroin/prescription drug overdose deaths.
