Winchester held its second annual Pride Celebration on Saturday (6/29/2019) in the city’s Downtown Mall.

The main setup for the event was in the Old Courthouse area. Over 50 booths featuring various vendors, businesses, organizations, and groups lined the intersection of North Loudoun and Rouss Streets. World’s Miss Pre-Teen Mid Atlantic States Tourism, McKenzie Herbert, attended the days events, as well as Little Miss United States Aryonna Martin. Winchester Mayor John David Smith spoke to the crowd at noon, and State Senator Jill Vogel’s challenger for Virginia’s 27th Senate District Seat, Democratic Candidate Ronnie Ross, was in attendance as well. Based on information from vendors, Winchester Pride has estimated so far that around 5,000 people were in attendance.
