Three Fires Over the Past Three Days in Warren County
11 September 2018 News
Warren County has battled three fires now over the course of the last three days.
Units were dispatched to a residence located on 119 Larkin Ridge Road at 12:20 p.m. Monday (9/10/2018) to battle a blaze that consumed the entire home. Fire Marshal Gerry Maiatico declared the house a complete loss, and estimated $600,000 in damages.
This marked the third consecutive fire in three days for Warren County. On Sunday, a fire at 142 West Main Street caused by a juvenile playing with a lighter led to a bedroom being gutted there. Before that on Saturday evening, a fire that destroyed a 407 East Prospect Street outbuilding and injured an occupant was declared an arson, and Front Royal resident Rebecca Melvin was arrested and charged with two felonies.
