Top of Virginia Regional Chamber’s Community Leadership Program Graduation
2 June 2017 News
The Top of Virginia Regional Chamber will hold their 2016-2017 Community Leadership Program (CLP) Graduation on the evening of June 2, inside the George Washington Hotel, starting at 4pm.
Participants in the Community Leadership Program meet once a month from September through May at various sites throughout the community to discuss current issues facing the local community. Topics include leadership and teamwork, community culture and non-profit organizations, local government, economic development, agriculture, media, education, public safety, and health care.
Through panel discussions, lectures, roundtable discussions and tours, experts and professionals in each field address the class to provide insight regarding the challenges and opportunities facing the region. This program serves as a way to educate participants on issues important to our area, provides the opportunity for them to network with their peers, and encourages them to become involved in the community to help make this region a better place for everyone.
