Town of Front Royal asking you to reduce power

Happy Creek bank stabilization

The town of Front Royal is asking electric customers to try to reduce power consumption in the next couple of days.

Especially during peak demand times of 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. with higher temperatures.

Reducing demand helps keep transmission and capacity costs low.

If you have any questions or concerns call the Department of Energy Service at (540) 635-3027.

We spoke to Shenandoah Valley Electric Cooperative President and CEO Greg Rogers about this very thing just last week.

Greg talks of a program from SVEC called Beat the Peak and also offers cost saving tips as well.

Here is Greg’s interview.
