Two arrested with children after high speed chase
An email from Captain Crystal Cline of the Front Royal Police Department (FRPD) confirms the arrest of two suspects after a high speed chase.
A FRPD Officer attempted to stop a vehicle speeding in the 1100 block of John Marshall Highway early Sat. morning Apr. 16.
The vehicle was recorded going 73 miles per hour (MPH) in a 25 mph zone.
After pursuit began the vehicle increased to speeds of up to 110 mph.
The driver of the speeding vehicle rear ended another vehicle forcing airbag deployment and the vehicle to stop in the 2600 block of John Marshall Highway.
The driver Devin Miales and passenger Jamiah Mills both of Maryland were found to have 2 under restrained 2 year old children in the vehicle.
Warren County Fire and Rescue (WCFR) transported the children to Warren Memorial Hospital for evaluation.
Warren County Social Services was called to assist with the children.
Further investigation recovered a loaded 9 millimeter ghost gun with an extended magazine in the vehicle.
Several thousand dollars in cash was also recovered in the investigation.
The couple was found to have over 70 capsules of what is believed to be narcotics along with a second hand gun.
The couple is currently being held in the regional jail without bond.
