U.S. Senate pass permanent daylight savings time bill
ABC News reports that the U.S. Senate passed a bill to make daylight saving time the new permanent standard time starting in 2023.
The bill still has to go to the house of representatives and be signed by the president.
An attempt to do the same was done in 1973 but under daylight saving time the sun rises as late as 8:30 a.m. in January and February.
The attempt in the 70’s fell out of favor in just one season.
However under standard time the latest the sun will rise is 7:30 a.m. in the winter.
