United Way to Hold Youth Day of Caring

On Friday (4/26/2019), the United Way of Northern Shenandoah Valley will hold its second Youth Day of Caring.

The UWNSV will match high school student volunteers with work projects at local sites in the Northern Shenandoah Valley. 150 students are expected to participate, and will come from area high schools that span from Page County to Winchester City. They’ll work together with organizations like Habitat for Humanity, NW Works, and Our Health before reconvening for group reflection presentations. The program is meant to encourage students to develop a sense of social responsibility, community need awareness, and teamwork.
