United Way Mobilizes 1,000 Volunteers
The United Way of Northern Shenandoah Valley is mobilizing about 1,000 volunteers for Day of Caring. Volunteers from area businesses, groups and organizations will come together for two days to complete fundamental projects for area non-profit agencies and community facilities. Both the northern and southern regions of United Way of Northern Shenandoah Valley will participate over the two day schedule. The first Day of Caring starts at Millwood Station on September 12 at 8:00 a.m. The kickoff party features speakers from the community, announcements of funds raised, networking and a sponsored breakfast for the volunteers.
