UVA shooter is in custody, names of victims released
Virginia State Police report the arrest of Christopher Darnell Jones who is accused of shooting five people at the University of Virginia.
The incident occurred around 10:30 p.m. Nov. 13 at the Culbreth Road garage.
Three people are reported dead and two have been injured in the incident.
At 11 a.m. UVA President Jim Ryan held a news conference identifying the victims of the shooting all were UVA football players.
Ryan did not identify those that were wounded view the news conference here.
The shelter in place which was still in effect at 4 a.m. Nov. 14 was finally lifted after an exhaustive search of the school.
An emergency hotline has been established to check on friends and family at 1-877-685-4836.
The investigation of the incident is ongoing by a number of Law Enforcement agencies.
