UWNSV helps 329 households with funding

The United Way of the Northern Shenandoah Valley (UWSV) deployed $655,000 in CARES Act funding to Winchester and Frederick County Families that were impacted by the COVID-19 virus.

Out of over 650 applications for assistance 329 households have received financial assistance by way of either utilities or housing assistance.

The funding prevented 289 local evictions and foreclosures locally.

Some monies came for with $400,000 coming from the City of Winchester $255,000 from Frederick County.
