UWNSV holds an open house

The United Way of the Northern Shenandoah Valley (UWNSV) will host an open house at the Woodstock Brewhouse on Court St. Woodstock.

The event is tomorrow June 8 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. to unveil plans for their expansion project of its Valley Assistance Network (VAN) program.

Since it’s inception in 2017 the VAN program has helped over 4,000 families who struggle with making ends meet.

The program works with Asset Limited Income Constrained Employment (ALICE) report.

The programs spotlight the number of working families who are struggling connect with resources and referral systems.

Tomorrow’s June 8 event will provide information on plans for expansion and how the community can support the initiative.
