Valley to Receive Thousands in Tourism Funding

The Shenandoah Valley will receive thousands of dollars in state funding for tourism.

On Wednesday (8/28/2019), Governor Ralph Northam  announced more than $965,000 in matching grant funds that will be awarded to a total of 44 local tourism initiatives. $50,000 of that money will go to the Shenandoah Valley Travel Association for its “LET’S GO! Virginia’s EPIC Shenandoah Valley Vacation” program. The grants are part of the Virginia Tourism Corporation’s Marketing Leverage Program, and are designed to help local tourism entities attract more visitors.
