Van Stolen From Poe’s Campground

FRONT ROYAL – An investigation into a van theft and eventual burning is ongoing in Warren County.
Warren County Fire and Rescue Services responded to a 6:30am call about a van on fire on Long Meadow Rd. By the time first responders made the scene, the vehicle was completely burned and appeared to have been abandoned along the 800 block of Long Meadow Rd.
The Warren County Fire Marshal’s Office opened an investigation and found the cause of the fire was arson. Warren County Sheriff’s Office joined the Fire Marshal in the investigation.
The 2006 Chevrolet Van was stolen from Poe’s Campground in Front Royal, sometime between 1-5:30am the morning of Oct. 19. The van was white, had ladder racks on the roof and contained a large amount of Milwaukee power tools and other tools related to the electrical trade. The tools were removed from the back of the van prior to the fire.
