VDOT Releases Road Condition Update: 1/14/2019
The Virginia Department of Transportation is advising that motorists use extreme caution if they must travel this morning (1/14/19) in the Shenandoah Valley.
As of 4 a.m., VDOT is reporting minor conditions including isolated spots of snow, ice or slush on Interstate 66 in Warren County, and the same on Interstate 81 in Shenandoah and Frederick counties. Snow and ice can be found on major parts of the roadway on most primary roads in Shenandoah County and some in Frederick, and minor conditions are being reported on primary roads across Page, Clarke and Warren counties. The City of Winchester is operating on a two-hour delay as a result of these conditions, with WinTran routes beginning at 10:40 a.m., and recycling collection moved to Wednesday.
