VDOT remind you to drive carefully

Refreezing and additional snow have created slick conditions on valley roads.

Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) urges motorist to drive defensively and be alert for patches of ice and snow especially on secondary roads.

Where crews continue plowing as of 4 a.m. today Interstate 66 is clear Interstate 81 is in minor condition with isolated spots of snow and ice.

Secondary roads in Frederick, Clarke, Shenandoah and Warren Counties are in moderate conditions with snow and ice found on major portions of the roadways.

Drive Carefully if you are heading out if you can stay at home until later in the day.
