VDOT Will Lift Lane Closures for Easter Holiday

16 April 2019 Luray/Page County Shenandoah County Front Royal/Warren County Winchester Frederick County Clarke County News

The Virginia Department of Transportation has announced that it will be lifting most lane closures for an extended period of time starting at noon on April 19, 2019.

The measure is intended to help ease travel times during the Easter holiday, and will last until noon on Tuesday, April 23. VDOT’s Staunton District is warning of one exception where motorists will still experience delays: a detour will be in place at Route 211 in Page County, where a bridge replacement is taking place over Hawksbill Creek on West Main Street in Luray. All HOV restrictions on I-66 will still operate on a normal schedule during the holiday travel period.
