VH and Anthem reach a resolution to their lawsuit

Valley Health confirmed by email that they and Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield have reached a resolution to the lawsuit filed by Valley Health in October 2022.

The lawsuit was in regards to  payments for health care claims submitted to Anthem.

Valley Health President and Chief Executive Officer Mark Nantz said the end of the dispute enables Valley Health to enter into negotiations to extend the current contract with Anthem.

Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield East Region President Kurt Small noted that the resolution ensures access to care to improve the lives of the people and communities we serve in Virginia.
