Virginians vote today in the November 7 General Election

Government Centers and Schools are closed today for the November General Election.

Polls opened at 6 a.m. and remain open until 7 p.m. if you are in line before 7 you will be able to vote.

You will need an acceptable form of identification like a driver’s license or passport.

If you do not have ID you will be asked to fill out an ID confirmation statement.

In the Clarke, Frederick, Page, Shenandoah, and Warren Counties Senate race it is Timmy F. French running against Emily G. Scott (listed alphabetically).

The House of Delegates seats will be decided for the 31 and 32 districts in Clarke, Frederick, and Warren Counties and 33rd district in Shenandoah and Page Counties.

Numerus additional seats will be decided including board of supervisors, treasurers, sheriff, school board members and other miscellaneous seats depending on location.

Any questions can be directed to your county registrar’s office which is open today.

Voting will only take place at the polls.
