Virginia’s teacher of the year is from Handley High School
Winchester City Public Schools (WPS) announced that the Virginia’s teacher of the year is from John Handley High School.
History teacher Jeffery Keller has been named the 2024 Virginia Teacher of the year.
Governor Glenn Youngkin named Keller as teacher of the year at the Patrick Henry Building on Capitol Square.
Keller was selected in April as one of the commonwealth’s eight regional teachers of the year and is now Virginia’s nominee for the 2024 National Teacher of the year award.
The National Teacher of the year will be announced next spring in a White House ceremony.
