Virginia State Police (VSP) report by email the investigation of a two-vehicle fatal crash in Fauquier County.

Sunday May 19 at approximately 5:55 p.m. on Route 29 a southbound Honda Accord rear-ended a Freightliner tractor trailer that had stopped at a red light.

The impact was so great that the driver of the Honda Joshua A. Farmer of Amissville suffered life threatening injuries.

The 30-year-old Farmer was flown to INOVA Fairfax Hospital where he succumbed to those injuries.

A 6-year-old female in the Honda suffered serious injuries and was transported to Fauquier Health.
