Wake Up Crew
The “WakeUp Crew” gets the Shenandoah Valley rockin’ from 6am – 9am every weekday morning with fun, features, and the Northern Valley’s “greatest hits” from the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, and sometimes beyond. The WakeUp Crew is hosted by 40-year broadcast veteran Randy Woodward, along with Dylan Nicholls, who not only provides local news updates, but joins in with his own fun features. Meteorologist, Kemp Miller often joins the conversation to chat about pop culture, area events, and, of course, the weather.
News Director, Dylan Nicholls has a strange story from across the globe for your “Weird Wide Web” at 6:20, and a fun and interesting website to get your workday started as part of our “Site for Sore Eyes” segment every weekday at 8:40. That’s not to mention reports every hour to help keep you informed on local news from across the Shenandoah Valley
The “Triple Play Café” happens every morning at 7am with 3 songs back-to-back all with a certain theme depending on the day: Mini-Concert Monday, Tie-Dye Tuesday, Wild-Card Wednesday, and random themes to round out the week on Thursday & Friday.
At 7:35 each morning, Randy features “Sports Dogs 2.0” weighing in on everything from the Washington Nationals, Washington Capitals, Washington Redskins, Shenandoah University athletics, not to mention his West Virginia Mounties.
Randy and Dylan love movies and will often talk about what’s on the big-screen during “Entertainment Update from Holly-Weird” at 7:50am that also includes celebrity news, and “all things Shatner.”
The crew takes a fun look at the day’s historical events at 8:20am with a “day in history” segment.
At the heart of it all is a your “morning soundtrack” featuring everyone from Chicago, Fleetwood Mac and Heart, to Bon Jovi and Van Halen.
