Wanted North Carolina Woman Arrested in Winchester

14 March 2019 Winchester News

Winchester Police arrested a woman Monday (3/11/2019) night who had been wanted in North Carolina.

The arrest came after officers received information from authorities in Concord, North Carolina, that 31-year-old Leah Bentley was wanted out of their jurisdiction for larceny and identity theft, and that she was possibly staying in a room at ANS Inns and Suites on Valley Avenue. When officers knocked on her door there, Bentley invited them in, at which point they noticed a syringe on her nightstand. She was arrested after admitting that it contained suboxone, and transported to the Northwest Regional Adult Detention Center.
