Wardensville Grade Fire Threatens Storage Building

A Wardensville Grade fire Monday (5/6/2019) evening threatened a storage building with explosives inside.

Units were dispatched to the blaze, located in the 4300 block of Wardensville Grade, just before 6:30 p.m. They had received initial reports that the structure was a tractor storage building, and that equipment and explosives were inside. North Mountain Volunteer Firefighters stretched two lines and knocked down all visible fire with assistance from members of the Round Hill and Gainesboro Fire Departments. Crews operated for a little over an hour wetting down hot spots and performing overhaul afterwards.
